Health & Hazard Inspections with Tapson's Tree Service

Arborist assessment for trees you’re unsure about — decay, root issues, pests, storm risk — plus cabling, bracing and invasive species work.

How it works

From first call to finished job

  1. Step 1

    Tell us about your trees

Trimming, removal, stumps or storm damage: tell us how many trees, roughly how tall, and what's nearby. A photo helps.

  2. Step 2

    Look at the job

The trees are checked for health and hazards, along with everything around them: the house, fences, driveways, power lines and access to the yard.

  3. Step 3

    A clear quote

You get a quote that spells out what will be trimmed or removed, how, and whether wood, brush and stumps are hauled away, chipped or left for you.

  4. Step 4

    The work and the cleanup

Limbs are lowered in sections where needed, then the brush is chipped or hauled off and the work area raked clean.

What clients say

4.8

“They were amazing. Very professional with good communication. They were cautious of the house and fence line, taking down some Russian olive trees. Which the backyard was taken over by those trees. They were quick and efficient and a nice cleanup job after they were complete. The pricing was very reasonable would definitely recommend them to any friends or family.”

Kirsten Murphy

“We had a large branch break but was somewhat still attached to our tall tree. Tapson's was able to come within the hour, after hours, safely remove the branch while keeping the rest of the tree intact. They were mindful of the house and fence and thoughtfully planned how to safely remove the branch. They got all of the branches and chipped it. I'd recommend Tapson's again and next time, they would be my first call.”

Jennifer Fonnesbeck

“The team showed up on time with all of the right equipment and safety gear to do the work. The work was tricky, the tree hung over a fence and my covered patio. They did a great job!”

FAQ

Health & Hazard Inspections: common questions

How much does tree removal cost in Boise?

It depends on height, species, lean, and what is underneath the tree. A 30-foot elm in an open backyard and a 70-foot cottonwood over a garage are very different jobs, which is why our estimate is free and in writing. Send a photo and we can usually give a ballpark before driving out.

Is Tapson's Tree Service licensed and insured?

We carry liability coverage and workers' compensation and can provide a certificate of insurance before work begins.

Do you handle emergency tree service after hours?

We keep a crew reachable 24/7 for storm damage, downed trees, split leaders and limbs on structures anywhere in the Treasure Valley.

Do you clean up after the job?

Yes, and cleanup is included unless you ask otherwise. Debris is chipped and hauled, the ground is raked, and we walk the property with you before leaving. Rounds can be left for firewood and chips left for mulch on request.

When is the best time to prune trees in Idaho?

For most deciduous trees in the Treasure Valley, late winter through early spring while the tree is dormant produces the cleanest healing and best structure. Dead, broken or hazardous limbs should be removed whenever they are found.

Do you work on commercial properties and HOAs?

We work regularly with property managers, HOAs and commercial sites across Ada County, including scheduled maintenance cycles, hazard inspections and after-hours work.
